Come join I-92 WLWI this Saturday morning (April 22nd) for the 2017 Walk of Life in downtown Montgomery to support the Joy to Life Foundation!
Walk/run the 5K or run the 10K course to help raise money for those who can’t afford the lifesaving mammograms and breast cancer screenings they desperately need. A large crowd is expected again for this annual tradition in the River Region. Each year this event continues to grow! It’s really a bunch of fun regardless of your fitness level, while you support the cause to prevent breast cancer!

The Walk of Life benefits The Joy to Life Foundation, which provides free mammograms and other breast cancer screenings, when necessary, to medically underserved women and men in Alabama. From 2008-2015, the Joy to Life Foundation helped provide 80,000 mammograms in Alabama. As a result, 1,115 people were diagnosed with breast cancer and received treatment. Joy to Life also provides limited grants when needed, builds and supports breast cancer awareness among all Alabamians, and promotes over-all health, well being, and education throughout the state.
