Due to illness, Clint Black will be unable to perform at the Stars in the Park event scheduled at Alabama Shakespeare Festival on Saturday, April 8th. Montgomery Gentry will step and take Clint’s place at the show.
We just received this notice from ASF:
- Clint Black has the flu and will be unable to perform tomorrow, Saturday April 8th in Montgomery
- Montgomery Gentry will be performing in Clint’s place and all previously purchased tickets will be honored
- Please keep Clint in your thoughts for a quick recovery and sorry for any and all inconvenience
- Clint Black’s act will be replaced by country music super duo Montgomery Gentry
Kentucky-raised Grand Ole Opry members, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, are known for their blue-collar anthems and “heavy Southern rock” sound (Entertainment Weekly). Montgomery Gentry has celebrated multiple awards and nominations from the CMA, ACM, and GRAMMYs. The duo has charted more than 20 singles, with anthems like “My Town” and “Hell Yeah” becoming indelible parts of the honky-tonk landscape. They have reached #1 on the singles charts five times with the hits “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” “Something To Be Proud Of,” “Lucky Man,” “Back When I Knew It All” and “Roll With Me.”
This event will also include several opening acts: Blackbird Pickers, Jason Givens and the Wanderers, Jessie Lynn, and Act of Congress. Gates open at 4PM Saturday for Stars in the Park: An Evening with Clint Black!
Active duty military are entitled to one free ticket with proof of identification. Active duty military tickets can be obtained in person through the ASF Box Office. General admission tickets purchased in advance are $30. Tickets purchased at the gate the day of the concert will be $36.
Onsite parking is $5. Parking passes can be purchased in advance for $5 and added to your ticket order either through the Box Office or using the links below. Only one pass per car is needed.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers will not permitted on the grounds. Food and drink will be available for purchase from a variety of local restaurant vendors including: Chappy’s Deli, Southern Smokeshack BBQ, Chris’ Hot Dogs, Chick-fil-A, Marco’s Pizza and Nancy’s Italian Ice.
