All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign.

Here’s our latest Pet of the Week, sponsored by Pet Urgent Care of Montgomery! The shelter shares, “Sylvia is a two-year-old female Shepherd mix, about 50 lbs.  She came to use as a stray and was sadly never reclaimed.  Just look at that smile and perhaps we should have named her ‘Pi’ given the markings on top of her head – too cute!  She is good with male and female dogs and cats.  Sylvia is super sweet, very playful, happy go lucky.”

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
