All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign.

Here’s our latest Pet of the Week, sponsored by Pet Urgent Care of Montgomery! The shelter shares, “Freddy is a seven-month-old male Husky/Shepherd mix, about 45 lbs.  Freddy’s sister was adopted this past weekend so now it’s time for Freddy to find HIS family.  Freddy has learned a lot while with us like nice doggy manners and going for leash walks which he loves.  Freddy will be best with older children and dogs his size or larger; no cats please. Freddy is just looking for a family to call his own.”

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
